A nice lady at my church recently pulled me aside to tell me that she and a few of her “mother friends” were considering coming out to the airport to take their young children on a “field trip”. She asked if I’d show them around so the kids could see something different. It ended up being a really nice morning for flying and I was able to take them up for a short flight.
We went up in the Cherokee 6 and everyone had a super time. Since the flight, I’ve received several comments even weeks after the event thanking me for the flight and relating how much the kids talked about it for days following. Clint Goff (Cherokee County Airport Coordinator) gave the kids small toy airplanes (note they are in the picture), a really nice touch!
Interested in sparking your aviation experience? Take some kids up flying. To see the spark in their eyes as they see God’s creation from that “different perspective” will be the only compensation you’ll desire.
