It is September 2021 and I’m in Sutton, Alaska at Kingdom Air Corps (KAC) assisting them by administering checkrides. Basically, KAC trains missionary pilots throughout the summer in the rugged beauty of the Matanuska Valley in Alaska, and then I come to KAC in September to administer checkrides for the pilot candidates. It is a wonderful symbiotic arrangement where KAC and the missionary pilots get free checkrides and I get the honor of joining people who are doing the Lord’s work and using aviation to do so.
Many of the pilots in the videos below will soon be on the mission field serving others who live in hard-to-reach places with airplanes. As you watch the videos below to learn their stories, listen to their heart for others and their dedication to bringing Good News to the outermost parts of our world.
There was a steady drumbeat of unsolicited comments from everyone around KAC this September about how strong the group of pilots was this year. I echo that sentiment. It was really good to be around such a fine group of people.
Here’s their story…
And…here’s some pics of what I believe to be the best fall foliage ever! The Matanuska Valley is one of my favorite places on earth, and September is probably the prettiest time of the year to be here.
